BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Pan joined HHP in 2007 and has been practicing for nearly ten years.

Mr. Pan is dedicated to the practice area of dispute resolution, especially in the areas of financial disputes, trademark protection and unfair competition, commercial transactions and compliance, etc.

Jianbo Pan specializes in handling difficult and complicated cases. He has represented his clients in many cases heard by courts all around China including the Supreme People’s Court. His insight to court proceedings enables him to help his clients with the most effective strategies. Mr. Pan obtained satisfying results for his clients in several commercial lawsuits involving hundreds of millions of funds.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

Financial Disputes

－ Presented and provided legal service for a real estate group in Yunnan regarding its debt disputes involving billions of funds;
－ Presented a trust company in Shanghai in the legal proceeding for shareholder’s shortage of capital contribution initiated by a third party creditor of the target company in an equity trust project, involving funds of more than one hundred million;
－ Presented and provided legal service for a national bank on the enforcement of notarized writ for entrusted loan, involving funds of hundreds of millions;
－ Presented and provided legal service for a trust company in Sichuan to claim for the realization of security interests after the counterparty of the trust project for transfer of equity earnings was in default, involving funds of hundreds of millions;
－ Presented and provided legal service for an investor regarding a forced unwinding dispute in an umbrella trust project by a Zhejiang trust company, involving funds of tens of millions.

Intellectual Property Dispute

－ Presented and provided legal service for WATTS Group in a trademark infringement case;
－ Presented and provided legal service for Shanghai Huili Group in trademark protection and unfair competition cases;
－ Presented and provided legal service for a private-owned enterprise in a business secret dispute;
－ Presented and provided legal service for Heidenhain, a German company in its domain name protection case.

Labor Disputes

－ Provided legal service for several famous transnational enterprises in their labor arbitrations in China, such as Samsung, Bekaert, Blum, Delphi, Huntsman, Blanco and SMA, etc.

Regular Disputes

－ Represented the client on the first case for revocation initiated by a third party against a valid judgment in Shanghai after the amendment of the Civil Procedure Law;
－ Presented and provided legal service for a company in the first case in Shanghai where the plaintiff won the proceeding for objection to enforcement;
－ Presented and provided legal service for Samsung in its disputes regarding distribution agreements;
－ Presented and provided legal service for Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in its dispute with an Italian company regarding purchase agreement;
－ Presented and provided legal service for a US insolvency administrator regarding the acknowledgement and performance by Chinese court of a bankruptcy judgment given by California Superior Court;
－ Presented and provided legal service for a HK-invested enterprise in a dispute appealed to the Supreme People’s Court regarding land use right indemnification;
－ Presented and provided legal service for a new material enterprise in Shanghai in a dispute regarding its factory construction contract.
