Shanghai – May 18, 2016 – HHP Attorneys-At-Law, a Shanghai-based law firm, today announced that Jun Dai has been appointed to the Board of Directors for Meritas, a global alliance of independent business law firms. Dai was elected to the position during the alliance’s recent annual meeting.
In his role as a board member, Dai will be responsible for reviewing and establishing policy and setting strategy for the alliance. Dai will also act as an organizational leader, serving as a liaison to member firms on administrative issues. He will maintain contact with members, encourage and promote cross communications, and gather feedback on Meritas initiatives. Dai will serve a three-year term, during which time he will also serve on the membership committee. The Meritas Board of Directors is comprised of 21 lawyers from its member firms around the world.

Dai has been involved with Meritas for five years, during which time he has served as the main contact of Meritas for HHP Attorneys-at-Law.
Dai practices in the areas of corporate law, M&A, restructuring, and foreign direct investments. He has been representing and providing legal service to a great number of multinational corporations, Chinese famous enterprises and private equity on their investment projects in China, including: the incorporation of various types of domestic enterprise and foreign-invested enterprise, structuring company structure, restructuring of companies and assets invested in China, high volume and complicated assets acquisition and transaction, dealing with appraisal and administrative approval on state-owned assets and government approval, assisting in tackling the amendment of PRC laws and policies and formulating the development strategy, and providing advice on daily operation matters in terms of tax, human resource, customs and foreign exchange. He earned his law degrees from Fudan University Law School, and is a member of the PRC bar.
