In May 2014, HHP successfully represented PT.KRAKTAUENGINEERING and won the fraud exception to letter of guarantee case against Jiangsu Taihu Boiler Co., Ltd. In the proceeding, Mr. Jingdong XU and Mr. Hongwei HU, partners of HHP, applied URDG458 to specify that letter of guarantee in this case is independent from its underlying contract and claimed the legitimacy of the payment of letter of guarantee and fraud exception does not exist in this case, which protects the legal rights and interests of PT.KRAKTAUENGINEERING. The Supreme People’s Court recently listed it as one of “One Belt One Road” Classical Precedents.
